To strengthen our Master Data team at HQ (Ghent), we are currently looking for a highly driven and hands-on Business Process Owner for new product development and master data.

Your role:

As Business Process Owner for new product development and master data, you are responsible to develop state-of-the-art processes for this domain within the Vandemoortele Group. You have impact on core processes and organizational design.

You are responsible for identifying, developing and ensuring the implementation of best practices for these processes throughout the Vandemoortele Group in cooperation with other linked processes as there are supply chain, accounting, finance & controlling, commercial, marketing, …

Furthermore, you excel in understanding the business in an international and diverse group, the development of relationships with key users, IT, back office and the different teams. You make sure that new practices get widely accepted in the organization.

As Business Process Owner for new product development and master data you report to the Business Data Manager.

Your key responsibilities and challenges are:

• Develop the process concepts, architecture and flows as implemented in SAP and the other systems (Recipe Management, workflow tool for new requests, etc.)
• Select in cooperation with IT the proper tools to implement new processes (e.g. Product Lifecycle Management, Master Data Governance, Request Flow for new products, Data Quality system, automation…)
• Inform and update the management on the new processes.
• Establish training programs and develop key-users (train the trainer concept).
• Drive a development program to reduce redundant or non-added value activities.
• Ensure & document standard process templates for the processes and reporting.
• Evaluate, approve and plan change request in cooperation with IT to meet changing business requirements.
• Single point of contact for all process improvements in new product development and master data.
• Member of the broader Vandemoortele BPO Community.
  

About you

• You hold a Master’s degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience;
• You have experience within a consultancy environment (IT or Advisor) or relevant experience having participated in SAP SD Best Practice implementations. Ideally you have operational experience both in a new product development/ master data role and an IT design role;
• You have good knowledge of the existing best practices for new product development / master data processes. Furthermore, you have strong affinity with systems (e.g. SAP) and process design;
• Knowledge of SAP is a must;
• You have excellent project skills, strong facilitation skills and proven DNA of change management;
• Knowledgeable in Office software;
• Your excellent communication and persuasion skills enable you to motivate, drive and engage the different stakeholders. You are strong in getting buy-in from different stakeholders with different requirements;
• You are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and information;
• You are eager to work in an international environment;
• You have excellent communication skills in English, knowledge of Dutch and French are nice to have;
• You are flexible for business travel.
